Kathmandu, Nov 2: Nepal has made a special presentation about tourism destinations at recently held 13th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) in Dhaka.
On the occasion, Acting Director of the Nepal Tourism Board, Sunil Sharma, gave a detailed presentation about Nepal's 'once in a lifetime' tourism destinations.
Similarly, Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari said that there is a historical, cultural and people-to-people relation between Nepal and Bangladesh, stressing the need of further strengthening tourism exchange.
Talking about Nepal, President of Tour Operator Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), Md Rafeuzzaman and Director Md Taslim Amin (Shovan) opined that Nepal is a natural and adventurous destination, Sharma added.
Nepali students in Dhaka presented folk cultural performances on the occasion. It is believed that the programme would help further strengthen cultural programme between the two counties.
Different sessions including B2B interaction and networking were also organised as well as a special holiday package were also announced on the occasion.
More than 100 Bangladeshi tour operators as well as tourism entrepreneurs and stakeholders of both countries were present there.
The BTTF, the largest tourism expo of Bangladesh, was organised from October 30-November 1. Total 10 tourism companies had participated in the Fair.
A team under the leadership of NTB had comprised 16 tour operators, and representatives of travel agencies and hotels.
It is believed that this international forum has given a significant opportunity to Nepali tourism entrepreneurs and NTB to strengthen regional cooperation, international relation as well as promote Nepal as a destination for 'Lifetime Experience'. (RSS)
