ODI World Cup qualifiers: Nepal post a total of 271 runs

Kathmandu, Nov 1: Nepal has posted a total of 271 runs before the USA in the match held today under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.

In the match underway in Dubai, UAE, Nepal scored 271 runs in  49.5 overs at the loss of all wickets.

Dipendra Singh Airee top-scored for Nepal with 75 runs in 67 balls followed by Karan KC who scored 49 runs in 31 balls. Opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 47 runs in 65 runs, Bhim Sharki scored 43 in 58 balls while captain Rohit Paudel contributed 36 runs in 46 balls.

For the USA, Harmeet Singh took 3 wickets followed by Saurabh Netravalkar and Nosthush Kenjige took 2 wickets each.

In reply, the USA have scored 53 runs without losing a wicket in the first 10 overs.

Prior to this, Nepal has already lost to the USA in the first match by 106 runs on October 25.

The USA leads the points table with 32 points from 22 matches while Nepal languishes in the 7th position with 12 points in 18 matches. (RSS)
