Gorkha, Oct 31: A foreign tourist was buried by a landslide that took place in the Manaslu region. The mishap took place near Chumanubri-3 where 54-year-old Katerina Raskova from the Czech Republic was buried, her trekking guide Ramesh Bhatta informed.
The incident reportedly took place at around 2:00 pm today on a cliff a little above the Nyak peak. “She was buried by a rock that fell from the cliff. Only her head is visible,” he said, “Her husband and I are safe.”
He said that there was a large group of tourists at the time that landslide took place. Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangad Baral shared that police have been sent to the site for rescue. (RSS)
