One injured in Dhankuta road accident

By Santosh Subedi, Pakhribas, Oct.31: One person sustained injury when a bus met with an accident at Tinghumti on the Koshi Highway in Dhankuta Municipality-9.

The bus (Province 1-02-001 Kha 9519), en route from Damak to Diktel, overturned on the road at around 8:45 am on Friday.

DSP Rajan Karki, police spokesperson at the District Police Office, Dhankuta, said that Mina Gurung, aged 55, a resident of Letang Municipality -3, Morang, sustained injuries when the bus suddenly overturned on the road after its air pipe burst and went out of control.

According to him, there were about 27 people onboard on the bus. 

Police said that the injured Gurung suffered a back injury and was taken to Dhankuta District Hospital for treatment.
