Kathmandu, Oct 29: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has emphasized the need of regular consultations and exchange of ideas among the government, political parties and Gen Z groups.
At a tripartite discussion held at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, today, PM Karki urged the attendees of the meeting to have adequate discussions as all Nepali should work together to fix the problems of the country.
Convening the meeting, PM Karki said, "Let us exchange all opinions. This is our country. We are the one to build our nation. No one will come to build our nation if we do not make it. Only one discussion does not work, it should be frequent. We have started and will continue it", PM's secretariat stated.
PM Karki took the initiative to have such a meaningful meeting first time to create atmosphere for the election.
Also on the occasion, representatives of the Gen Z groups said election was a must and it should be conducted, yet only electoral rhetoric does not make sense.
As the key demand of the Gen Z Uprising is to establish good governance, the government should emphatically pay attention to take punitive measures against corruption, the Gen Z representatives said.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel will organize a press briefing on the topics discussed and the conclusions reached.
On behalf of the government, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Dr. Mahabir Pun, and Minister of Communications, Information and Technology Jagdish Kharel participated in the meeting, along with party leaders, including Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Barshaman Pun, Madhav Sapkota, Prakash Adhikari, Deepak Karki, Prakash Jwala, Rajendra Pandey, Mohan Shrestha, Rajendra Gurung, Nisha Dangi, Swarnim Wagle, Mahesh Bartaula, Kshitij Thebe, Basant Kushwaha, Prakash Sharan Mahat, Miraj Dhungana, Bibek Dahal, James Karki, Ameet Khanal, and Rajan Ranamagar attended the meeting.(RSS)
