Cabinet Expansion: two ministers administered oath

Kathmandu, Oct 26: Two newly appointed ministers have taken the oath of office and secrecy amidst a ceremony held at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas today.     

President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Dr. Sudha Gautam, the new Minister of Health and Population, and to Bablu Gupta, the Minister of Youth and Sports.     

Earlier today, four ministers were expected to be sworn in. However, only two were ultimately appointed.     

Dr. Gautam previously served as the Secretary at the Ministry of Health, while Gupta is recognized as a leader within the Gen-Z movement.     

Their appointments were made by President Paudel following the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. With this latest expansion, the Cabinet, which was formed on September 12, now consists of 10 members.     

The cabinet had previously been expanded on September 15 and 22. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Karki, Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, Speaker of the House of Representatives Dev Raj Ghimire, various ministers, Deputy Speaker of the HoR Indira Rana, as well as heads and officials from constitutional bodies, senior officials of the Government of Nepal, and representatives from security agencies.(RSS)
