Gen Z representatives, political parties need to sit together, normalize situation and move to polls: PM Karki

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct 21: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has pointed at the need for dialogue between the political parties and the Gen Z representatives so as to normalize the situation and move smoothly towards the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for 5 March 2026.

At the first ever joint meeting with the representatives of the political parties at Baluwatar today, PM Karki emphasized that the government is committed to holding the HoR election in scheduled time in a fair and peaceful environment.

She said the government, ministers and security forces were all focused on the election and working hard for the same.

Clarifying about the delay in dialogue with the political parties, she said, “Since the government was formed, we had to ensure treatment of the injured, manage the bodies of the martyrs and relief to the families and address the concerns of those involved in the movement.  All this took time. Now that the President has opened the door of the dialogue. Now, we all the representatives of the Gen Z, the political parties should sit together, normalize situation and move to the election”.
