Kathmandu, Oct 17: Lyricist and media professional Dayaram Pandey has been elected Coordinator of the International Nepalese Artist Society (INAS) Asia regional committee.
The sixth INAS global convention-2082 BS recently held in Kathmandu unanimously elected Pandey to the post for a two-year term.
Newly elected Coordinator Pandey pledged to make the INAS's activities more result-oriented during his tenure.
He further expressed his commitment to work to promote art and culture in a manner that visibly reflects the role of the organization.
"My previous experience will contribute to giving an impetus in promotion of Nepali artistry in the Asian region," he stated.
Pandey, who previously served as the president of INAS Nepal, has been actively involved in the field of Nepali art, culture and literature for a long time.
INAS was established in Poland in 2012 with an objective of promoting and protecting Nepali art, language, cinema, sports and cultural heritage at the global level.
The organization expands its reach across more than 75 countries with the headquarters located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. (RSS)
