UML central committee meeting commences

Kathmandu, Oct 17: The third day of the 10th Central Committee meeting of the CPN (UML) has commenced. The meeting is taking place in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur. Rajendra Gautam, Head of the Department of Publicity and Publication, stated that central members and office bearers who have not yet spoken will share their perspectives today regarding the political report presented by Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli. 

Previously, around 200 central members have expressed their opinions. In today's session, the Politburo, the Standing Committee, and the office bearers will offer their insights. The UML comprises 99 leaders, including members of the Standing Committee and office bearers. Gautam mentioned that even the Standing Committee members and office bearers will be allotted only three minutes each to express their views. 

Following the presentations, Chairman Oli will wrap up the meeting by providing a consolidated response to the suggestions regarding the report. On Chairman Oli's special proposal, central members will offer guidance on the suggestions made, the current political landscape, the party's future direction, and the roles of the party's leaders and cadre. 

Additionally, Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali is expected to present contemporary proposals in today's meeting as well.  (RSS)
