Kathmandu, Oct 6: Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal said the government was ceaselessly effortful to boost up the confidence of the private sector.

He said this in a meeting held today with the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI),Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the Chairperson of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries Birendra Raj Pandey and Chairperson of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal.

Sharing that the government has made public programmes related to revenue exemption, banking subsidy and insurance facilitation, the Finance Minister claimed transparent trading will be promoted with the enforcement of online database system in customs.

The system, inaugurated on last September 25, is expected to address the grievances of the business fraternity on frequent amendment to the reference book.

The system is a digital source of analysis of the goods received for customs checks which eases comparison and helps identify traded cost.

Chairpersons of the representative organizations of private sector had lauded the government's decision to this effect and also urged the entrepreneurs to utilize the new database system that was installed as per their demand. (RSS)
