Kathmandu, Sept 29: Highways have remained blocked at six different places in the country due to incessant rainfall, flood and landslide.
Spokesperson at the Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General Binod Ghimire said vehicular movement has come to a standstill at six places of different highways in Sankhuwasanha, Sindhupalchowk and Rasuwa districts.
Koshi highway has been completely obstructed at Bhotekhola rural municipality-4 and Makalu rural municipality-3 in Sankhuwasabha due to incessant rainfall, he added.
Similarly, vehicular movement has remained closed along Pasanglhamu road section at Gosainkunda municipality-2 in Rasuwa district due to landslide. Efforts are underway to remove landslide debris.
Ghimire shared that Araniko highway has been blocked at two locations--Sunkoshi rural municipality-7 and Bhotekoshi rural municipality in Sindhupalchowk.
The vehicular movement has come to a complete standstill along the highway. (RSS)
