By Shaligram Nepal, Chitwan, Sept.25: The road that was blocked due to a landslide at Badaremode near Benighat in Dhading along the Muglin-Naubise road section has been reopened.
The road was closed in both directions due to a landslide that occurred at 9 PM on Wednesday. However, traffic has resumed in the morning after working all night to remove debris.
Chief of the Muglin Nagdhunga Road Planning Office, Western Section, Kedar Nepal, said that vehicles are now operating in both lanes.
He said that even though the landslide that occurred on this road section has been removed, the risk of another landslide still exists.
The road that has been closed since Tuesday at Tuinkhola under the Muglin-Narayangadh road section has not yet been reopened.
"Although landslide clearance work has been underway since Wednesday, it has been difficult due to the large landslide," said Govinda Puri, Chief of the District Police Office, Chitwan.
Work has been underway to remove the landslide in Tuinkhola since morning.
Due to the landslide on the Muglin-Narayangadh road section, the travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu has become difficult due to vehicles being stopped in Muglin.
Due to the traffic jam, it has become difficult to go to Porkha. The road itself has been blocked due to vehicles stopping in violation of traffic rules.
Muglin Police is trying to organize the stopped vehicles and ensure smooth traffic flow between Pokhara and Kathmandu.
