Ministry of Finance pushes for prudent govt. expenditure

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept.24: The Ministry of Finance has issued special instructions to all ministries, departments, commissions, agencies and offices to maintain economy in government expenditure.

In a press release released by the ministry on Tuesday, it has been urged to use resources only according to priorities and needs while spending the budget for the current fiscal year.

"It has become imperative to cut unnecessary expenses to utilize the state's limited resources effectively and responsibly," reads the statement. 

The ministry has set out various points that will be implemented with immediate effect to control wasteful spending in government offices and maintain financial discipline.
