By Phadindra Adhikari, Kaski, Sept 23: Some 404 inmates of the Kaski district jail
have returned to the prison.
There were 773 prisoners in the jail when it was broken during the Gen
Z protest on September 9 evening. All the inmates had fled the cell leaving the
jail empty.
Some of the inmates were arrested from Kathmandu and surrounding
district while most of the prisoners returned on their own, according to jailer
Rajendra Sharma.
Notice has been issued for the prisoners who fled to return, with
warning that the security forces will arrest them otherwise.
Some 27 police infrastructures were damaged on September 9 during the
Gen Z protest that was nationwide forcing the then government to step down.
