Ranjha (Banke), Sept 23: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, has assured the public that essential government services will not be interrupted despite the damages caused during the Gen Z demonstrations held on September 8–9.
During his inspection today to several government offices and political party offices in Banke district, which suffered significant damage during the protests, the Chief Minister said, "Government structures in Banke were massively damaged during the demonstrations."
The province government has estimated the total losses to exceed Rs 200 billion. According to Chief Minister Acharya, many offices are facing difficulties in delivering services due to the damage. However, he said that services are being provided from makeshift tents. (RSS)
