Kathmandu, Sept 22: Newly appointed Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr Madan Prasad Pariyar has assumed office on Monday.
While assuming office at the ministry in Singh Durbar, he proposed to form a coordinating committee to implement the agreement made earlier for research in potato and rice crops between Nepal and Korea.
It has been informed that the committee will be formed under the leadership of the secretary of the Ministry to carry out the coordination work.
After assuming the office, while talking to the journalists, Minister Pariyar expressed his commitment to make some different efforts in the agricultural sector.
He stated that the government is committed to working on administrative reform and preventing mismanagement.
Minister Pariyar expressed his commitment to contributing fully to fulfilling the current government's mandate to achieve administrative reform, end mismanagement, and conduct elections. (RSS)
