Energy and Agriculture Ministries calls for return of stolen goods

Kathmandu, Sept 21: The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has urged the immediate return of various goods stolen from the Ministry during the Gen-Z demonstrations held on September 8 and 9.

Television sets, computer sets, laptops, printers, photocopy machines, micro ovens, hard disks, scanners, cameras, iPads, mobiles, heaters, fans and other goods were stolen during the event of arson and looting.

Work is underway to identify those involved in the vandalism and theft through CCTV footage, said the ministry has said while urging anyone who has taken or received such materials from the Ministry premises to hand them over to the ministry or the nearest police office. Otherwise, action will be taken as per the prevailing law.

Likewise, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has stated that laptops, CCTV cameras, computers, desktops, and batteries installed in motorcycles have been stolen. Work is underway to identify those involved in the theft through CCTV footage.

It has also requested those responsible to return the belongings to the ministry or the nearest police office. (RSS)
