Kathmandu, Sept 18: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal today visited the Police Headquarters and acquired information on the damage it incurred in course of the Gen-Z movement.
On the occasion, he directed the police personnel to dedicate themselves in the interest of the country and the people with high morale.
"The need and importance of the police have been confirmed by the community's commitment to restoring the police posts that were damaged during the movement and maintaining the morale of police personnel, so you should work for the benefit of the people with high morale," Home Minister Aryal said.
He emphasised on the need of forging ahead by improving upon the shortcomings under the Nepal Police's jurisdiction.
The Home Minister also instructed the police to perform their duties in accordance with the law.
He said, "The present government believes that you will diligently and with restraint fulfill your responsibilities; this government is in favour of highly motivated police personnel."
Earlier, Home Minister Aryal had conducted a field visit to assess the damages at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari, the police station at Darbar Marg, and the police station at Maharajgunj.
The police chiefs of all seven provinces of the Nepal Police, the chiefs of district police offices, and the chiefs of area police offices were present at the event via virtual means. (RSS)
