Five arrested with narcotics in Kailali

By Avinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Aug.30: The District Police Office, Kailali, has arrested five people with narcotics. 

Police arrested them with four grams and 90 milligrams of brown heroin and five kilograms and 690 grams of hashish from various places in the district.

According to the District Police Office, 35-year-old Bir Bahadur Rawal, of Shikhar Municipality-8, Doti, currently living in Godawar Municipality-1, has been arrested from Nigar Barrel, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-2, with two grams and 760 milligrams of brown heroin.

Similarly, 32-year-old Mohan Malla of Chure Rural Municipality-3, Kailali, has been arrested with 590 milligrams of brown heroin.

Police Inspector Lokraj Joshi, the deputy spokesperson of the District Police Office, said that the drugs were recovered from him while he was hiding them inside his mobile phone case.

Similarly, 32-year-old Ram Bohara, a resident of Bungal Municipality in Bajhang and currently running the Jayaram Hotel and Lodge restaurant in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-2, has been arrested with five kilograms and 690 milligrams of hashish.

The hotel manager, Bohara, was arrested after recovering hashish during a search of the hotel.

Bijay BK, Aged 23, of Jugeda, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-12, and Pradeep Rana of Dhangadhi -7 have been arrested with 740 grams of brown heroin.

Police Inspector Joshi said that all five arrested persons have been taken into custody for necessary action and further investigation is underway.
