Two persons sleeping in menstrual hut die, one injured

Achham, Aug 29: Two persons were killed and another one was injured when a falling stone from a cliff hit them in Achham district this morning. The incident took place when all of them were sleeping in a menstrual hut. 

The deceased have been identified as Nim Khanal, 35, of Panchadewal Binayak municipality-8 and Kabita, a seven-year-old daughter of Gore Bhandari of Mangalsen municipality-6, said Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Om Prakash Khanal. 

Nim and Kabita died on the spot while Kabita's mother was injured in the incident. She has been sent to a local health post for treatment.  

A team led by Police Inspector Tek Bahadur Deuba has headed towards the incident site for an investigation, added Khanal. (RSS)
