Lipulek is Nepal’s territory, Nepal reminds India and China
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug 20: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has reminded India and China that Lipulek is Nepal’s territory and that this area which includes Kalapani and Limpiyadura has been included in Nepal’s official map and enshrined in the Constitution of Nepal.
Issuing a 3-point
press note today in response to media reports and queries about Nepal’s take on
India and China agreeing to conduct trade through Lipulek, MoFA made it clear
that Nepal is clear about the fact that the
area east of the Mahakali river that include Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani
belongs to Nepal and that both India and China were informed about this long
ago.
