Vice President Yadav opens 9th International Women's Trade Expo

Patan (Lalitpur), April 3: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has opined that Woman Entrepreneurs Trade Fair would help make women self-dependent.     

Inaugurating the 9th International Women's Trade Expo 2026 organised by Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) at Jhamsikhel of Lalitpur today, Vice President Yadav argued that woman entrepreneurs are driving force towards building a self-reliant, inclusive and sustainable society.     

The fair has been organised with an aim of supporting in the promotion and market of produces of woman entrepreneurs.     

"Woman entrepreneurship plays the role of carrier of social transformation and national development. It contributes in overall development of family, society and nation when women show their capacity through enterprises. It also helps create employment, utilize local resources and build self-reliant economy," he underlined.     

Vice-President Yadav expressed the belief that such types of trade fair helps encourage district-level woman entrepreneurs, take their produces to market and make national economy strong.     

Similarly, Federation Chairperson Darshana Shrestha shared that the fair would help national campaign for woman entrepreneurship.     

More than 5700 women are now affiliated to the Federation. The Fair will run till April 5.(RSS)
