By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug 20: The stakeholders have said that there is a need to increase spending for protection and promotion of child rights.
The stakeholders emphasized for child rights in a programme of Child Right Learning Conference held in Kathmandu.
In a programme organized by the Children as Zones of Peace (CZOP), a member of parliamentary desk for child right and lawmaker Harkamaya Bishowkarma has said they the voice are being continuously raised for the end of child marriage, to rise the spending on children, implementation of and clarity in defining rules.
She said that federal and provincial lawmakers have been speaking continuously with regard to the issues of child right through provincial parliamentary platform.
The lawmaker of the House of Representative Ishwori Garti Magar said that the voice for child right resonating in the parliament due to the consolidating cooperation between the parliamentary platform and CZOP.
Former member of National Human Rights Commission Gauri Pradhan said that spend for children is investment of future.
The conference was organized in the Chairmanship of the President of CZOP Meena Sharma with the support of Save the Children, Plan International, World Vision, Good Safer.
