Bhaktapur, Aug 1: The Bagmati Province has been declared fully immunized zone today.
At a programme organised by the Ministry of Health of Bagmati Province in Bhaktapur, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli declared the province as a fully immunized zone with the guarantee that the children under 15 months of age in 13 districts and 119 local levels of the province administered all routine vaccines.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli presented a certificate to the Bagmati Province Health Minister, Kiran Thapa, provided by the National Immunization Coordinating Committee of the Ministry of the Health and Population under the federal government.
Meanwhile, PM Oli also inaugurated a 'Digital Health' programme.
Congratulating the province, he mentioned that 'Healthy Nepal' campaign was launched to achieve the national aspiration of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.
PM Oli stressed the need of carrying out activities to keep human, cattle and plants healthy as well as to keep cities and villages clean.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli honoured outstanding employees, women community health volunteers.
Similarly, Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Bahadur Singh Lama shared that full immunization campaign became successful from continuous efforts of the health sector. (RSS)
