Dhorpatan (Baglung), July 31: Jaimini Municipality has purchased an agriculture ambulance to transport agricultural produce to the market.
Deputy Mayor Harihar Sharma said that the municipality has purchased an ambulance for Rs. 5 million by adding the same amount received from the federal government.
The agriculture ambulance will be used to serve the 500 agricultural firms, agricultural cooperatives and farmer groups active in the municipality, with 4,000 families involved in agricultural production.
Sharma also said that the municipality has been providing grants, training and technical assistance to attract youth and inspire farmers to commercial agriculture production.
The municipality has established an agricultural produce collection center in Kushmisera in collaboration with the Prime Minister's Agriculture Modernization Project and has constructed a chilling center in Damek Sarkuwa. (RSS)
