By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 24: Nepal and India have joined hands with the purpose of carrying forward clean sport in South Asia.

Dr. Ashim Bhandari, the head of NADA Nepal, recently met with Anand Kumar, the Director General of NADA India, in New Delhi to discuss how the two countries can work together to fight doping in sports.

This meeting was an important step toward sharing knowledge and learning from each other’s experiences. Dr. Bhandari wanted to understand how India managed to build a strong and independent anti-doping system despite many challenges like political interference and limited resources.

Anand Kumar spoken about the early struggles and said that maintaining open and transparency  is key to earn trust. Dr. Bhandari, who is also an international anti-doping expert and on the field  sports injury  doctor, emphasized that Nepal wants to focus on educating athletes and protecting their well-being, not just on strict enforcement. Both leaders agreed on future plan to create training centers, exchange programs for officials, and outreach programs especially for marginalized and Para athletes.

Their meeting shows a shared hope that by working together with honesty and care, South Asia can build a fair and clean sports environment. In a world where cheating often overshadows the spirit of sport, this cooperation gives hope that real change comes from partnership, trust, and mutual respect.
