Madhes province assembly passes budget amid House boycott from oppositions

Dhanusha, July 14: The Madhes province assembly passed the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.     

The province assembly's majority of the votes approved the budget on Monday amid the boycott from the opposition parties.     

Speaker Ramchandra Mandal announced the passage of the appropriation bill with a majority.     

The opposition parties in the Madhes province assembly boycotted the meeting charging the province government of committing fiscal crime.     

The opponent lawmakers were adamant to their demand for the resignation of the finance minister and the new budget from the new finance minister.     

Finance Minister Sunil Yadav had tabled the budget of Rs 46.98 billion for the upcoming FY on June 15.     

The opposition lawmakers and some of the ruling parties' lawmakers too protested the budget allocation citing some issues in the budget including missing of a page of the budget.(RSS)
