By Arjun Karki, Kathekhola (Baglung), July 14: The Baglung-Galkot section of the Pushpalal (Mid-Hill) Highway has been blocked due to a landslide.
Traffic Police Head Constable Prakash Giri of the temporary traffic post Kharbang said that the highway has been completely blocked due to a landslide that fell from the road at Kauche section in Righa of Galkot Municipality-11, due to heavy rainfall on Sunday night.
Due to the obstruction of the highway, vehicles going from Jajarkot, Rukum, Rolpa, Dolpa, Gulmi and West Baglung to Pokhara and Kathmandu, and from Bihun, Galkot, and Tarakhola to Butwal, are stuck on the road.
Passengers have been stranded as vehicular movement has stopped.
Police Head Constable Giri said that efforts are underway to resume the highway, keeping in mind the stranded passengers.
