Jhapa, July 12: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli presented land ownership certificatesto the landless Dalit, squatters and unorganized settlers in Kankai Municipality.
At a programme organized by the Land Problem Resolution Commission, District Committee today, the land ownership certificates were distributed to 200 families.
It was a happy moment for the landless dalit, squatters and unmanaged settlement dwellers, the PM said, adding the incumbent government was focused on resolving the problems of the people by maintaining political stability in the country.
He informed that the Land Bill will be endorsed soon for resolving all the problems related to the land. The PM underscored the need of full-fledged utilization of the land for economic prosperity.
On a different note, PM Oli pledged to hand over the government to the Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba next year in keeping with the agreement with the NC. "Our collaboration with the NC will continue until next election. I urge comrades to remain confident and take strides accordingly", the PM noted.
Also speaking on the occasion, Commission's Central Chairperson Hari Rijal said land ownership certificates will be distributed to the landless Dalit, squatters and unorganised settlers from Mechi to Mahakali.(RSS)
