By Murari Adhikari, Dhading, July 8: The flood on the Bhotekoshi River that occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday has entered Dhading.
District Administration Office has urged denizens to remain on high alert in line with avoiding destruction.
Locals are observing the flood site by remaining in safe places to watch the severe flooding in the Trishuli River, while others are waiting for the flood to subside in places such as Gajuri, Malekhu, and Charaudi.
Chief District Officer Arjun Poudel said that the flood has caused grief damage.
According to him, the torrential rainfall that occurred upstream, on the Chinese side, flooded the stream that damaged the yard of the Customs Office, Rasuwa, according to the Armed Police Force (APF). Nine loaded containers were swept away by the flood.
Nearly eight electric vehicles at a charging station of Timure, Rasuwa district and the Miteri bridge were swept away by the flooded Lhende stream at Nepal-China order last night.
Poudel said that a joint team of security personnel safely rescued nine people who were trapped in the yard of the Rasuwagadhi Customs Office in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2 of Rasuwa district due to floods following incessant rains.
The helicopter of the Nepal Army has rescued Mangali Tamang and Palten Tamang of Kispang Rural Municipality- 4, Nuwakot district. They were swept away by the flood on the Trishuli River of the Nuwakot district.
Chief District Officer of Dhading Suman Ghimire said that high-security measures have been adopted to prevent damage to the district from floods.
