Lhende flood update

18 missing people in Bhotekoshi not traced

Kathmandu, July 8: Initial information has been received that 18 people have been reported missing due to the floods in Bhotekoshi. The floods in the Lende River had merged with the Bhotekoshi River.

According to Armed Police Force (APF) Deputy Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa 18 people, including three Nepal Police personnel, nine people working at the customs office yard, and six Chinese nationals, have gone missing in the flood. They have not been traced. 

The flood has swept away more than a dozen vehicles and the Miteri Bridge, which connects Nepal to the Chinese border.
