Worker dies after being electrocuted

By Rabindra Upreti, Bardibas, July 7: One worker, working on development work, died while another sustained injuries.

According to the Police, 32-year-old Chattu Mukhiya of Ramgopalpur Municipality-5, Kanchanpur district, died after being electrocuted. 

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Bhatta of District Police Office, While working at the under construction culvert along Bhoil Sreepur road section of located at Aaurahi Municipality-7 of the project under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development Madhesh Province, a 11,000 KV electricity line tore and feel suddenly and killed Mukhiya on the spot. 

The other laborer, Kishan Mandal, of Abhaya, working nearby, got injured by the impact of the electric current. 

The body of Mukhiya has been taken to Provincial Hospital based in Jaleshwar for postmortem. 

He said that further processing will proceed after receiving a report of the incident and the post-mortem.
