By Bishnu Prasad Pokharel, Damak, June 3: Police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident following the suspicious deaths of two youths in Jhapa.
Roman Thapa, aged 19, and Aditya Tamang, aged 15, of Shivasatakshi Municipality -9, were reportedly beaten to death by their friends.
It is reported that Thapa and Tamang sustained injuries in a fight with their friends a week ago, and both died in the course of the treatment.
Neither of them had told their families about the fight with their friends and the beating.
Thapa died on Saturday, and Tamang died on Wednesday during treatment. The beating incident took place on June 25.
According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, six people have been arrested in connection with the assault, and an investigation has been launched.
All those having alleged involvement are under the age of 16, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.
According to Rajan Limbu, Chief of the District Police Office, Jhapa, after a complaint regarding the beating was received at the Area Police Office, Jhiljhile, those allegedly involved in the beating incident have been arrested, and an investigation has been initiated.
