Prime Minister hails Thapa’s song Dushman Hereko Heryai

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 24: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has hailed popular singer and performer Durgesh Thapa’s song Dushman Hereko Heryai. 

Released five months ago, the song has now crossed 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the first Nepali song to reach this milestone in the shortest time.

After the song hit 100 million views, Prime Minister Oli congratulated Durgesh Thapa through a Facebook post. In his message, the Prime Minister wrote, “The song Dushman Hereko Heryai shows that the new generation has begun to develop a taste for different styles of music. In just five months, Durgesh Thapa’s song has crossed 100 million views. Congratulations to the creator of the song, Durgesh Thapa.”

Durgesh Thapa shared the Prime Minister’s post, stating that it added inspiration to his creative journey. Expressing his joy over reaching this major milestone, he thanked his audience and viewers. 

Through social media, he wrote, “Today I’m happy, but I know you all are many times happier than me, because this is our victory, our pride. This recognition you have given me is not just about numbers or views; it is a document that a dream has been fulfilled. Durgesh Thapa is not just a name, it’s a brand, a brand!”

Many renowned Nepali singers and musicians have also congratulated Durgesh Thapa for achieving such massive popularity in such a short time.
