House of Representatives meeting postponed

Kathmandu, June 12: The meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled to meet at 3:00 pm today has been postponed.     

According to the parliament secretariat, the meeting was postponed after it could not be held at the scheduled time due to the ongoing obstruction of the parliament. Opposition parties, including the CPN (Maoist Center), the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the CPN (Unified Socialist), and others, have been obstructing the House of Representatives meeting, raising the issue of the visit VISA scam and demanding an investigation committee along with resignation of the Home Minister.     

The parliament has not been able to meet for the past two weeks due to obstruction from the opposition parties.(RSS)
