Binayi Khola bridge to be operated from June 28

By Gyanu Pangeni, Madhya Bindu, June 10: The newly constructed Binayi Khola bridge at Dumkibas of Narayangadh-Butwal Highway will come into operation from June 28. 

Since January 10, vehicular movement was stopped via the bridge due to the 245-metre-long bridge was completely damaged due to the breakage. The bridge broke as a 60-tonne capacity truck (NL 01 AH 5169) was crossing over it. 

According to the Information Officer at the Butwal-Narayangadh Road Expansion Project, Shiva Khanal, the bridge's slab slope work was completed on June 6. He informed that since June 28, vehicles can ply the bridge as the bridge starts work on full weight carrying capacity. 

In January, the overloaded truck was carrying goods of Shivam Cement and had set out from Krishnanagar Customs left the bridge broken. The trick was stuck in the middle of the broken bridge. 

From the next day, vehicular movement was started by making a diversion at the Binayi River near Dumkibas.
