BY A STAFF REPORTER,Kathmandu, June 4: Sajju Manandhar has revived his debut song Sabailai Chhodera with a remake, two decades after its original release. Staying true to its roots, the revamped version reunites the original cast and director, blending nostalgia with a modern touch.

Madan Puraskar-winning and senior songwriter Dinesh Adhikari officially launched the music video amid a programme held in Kathmandu on Monday.

At the event, chaired by the renowned poet Sneh Sayami, President of Ganesh Devi Manandhar Foundation, the singer’s father, Dil Bahadur Manandhar, introduced the remake in loving memory of his late wife.

Originally released as the first track on the album Ragini Ban, Sabailai Chhodera has now been rereleased on ORS Digital. Actor Binde Maharjan, who starred in the original music video, also reappears in the new version. Actress Priyanka Karki is also featured in the remake.

The original director, Krishna Dev Rupakheti, has once again directed the remake. The song features lyrics by Dr. Raju Manandhar and music composed by Joogle Dangol.
