By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 1: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the revolutionary forces need to resist status quoist and regressive forces at present.
He said so while addressing the third convention of the Young Communist League (YCL) today.
YCL is the organization
of the successor of the communists in our party, he said.
"In our
country, new people's revolution did not take place as we wished, but capitalist
people's revolution did take place basically as per Nepali characteristics,"
said Chairman Prachanda.
"Revolution
is not carried out alone by revolutionaries but by people as a whole".
Present republican system one is not simply a traditional parliamentary republic but more than that it is an inclusive and participatory republic. It has characteristics of both parliamentary and people's democracy, said the former PM.
Revolutionaries
have to wage ideological and political clash with status quoist and regressive
forces as activities of the status quoist have enabled regressive to take to
streets at present, he said.
He termed
the ruling coalition as the representatives of the status quoist forces.
The leader
of the main opposition party in the parliament demanded with government to curb
corruption by taking stern measures.
