Former campus chief Gautam donates land

By Our Correspondent,Ilam. May 28: Dharani Prasad Gautam, former chief of Mahendra Ratna Multiple Campus in Ilam, has donated eight aana of land worth approximately Rs. 4.5 million to the Progressive Writers' Association. 

The donated land is located in Phulgachchhi, Ilam Municipality-9. Gautam said that he donated the land to the association, which has been continuously contributing to Nepal’s political history since 2007 BS.

According to Dr. Devi Chhetri Dulal, the central president of the association, a building to house the association’s office, a theatre on the ground floor, and a meeting hall will be constructed on the donated land. 

“We are committed to preserving art and culture,” said Dr. Dulal. “This initiative has inspired enthusiasm from the district to the central level.”

In addition to the land, Gautam has also provided a sofa set and a drawer set free of charge for the association's district office.
