By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 27: Press Center Nepal (PCN) marked the 23rd memorial day of journalist Krishna Sen 'Ichchhuk' organizing different programmes across the country today.

In Kathmandu, PCN organized discussion on socialism, pro-people journalism and Sen's contribution.

Addressing the conclusion of the programme, vice-chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), Agni Sapkota, blamed the government for working to reduce the importance of republican set up.

He claimed that the mid-hill highway awareness campaign being run by the Maoist party was instrumental in infusing hope in the people. "Our leadership team during the campaign was welcomed in many places by the Nepali Congress cadres and I realized the sense of BP-type socialism was still alive among the NC cadres."

The then editor of Janadisha daily, Sen was arrested by the police and then murdered in the custody.
