Indian national dies of drowning in Tinau River

By Rekhiram Rana, Tansen,  An Indian national died of drowning while swimming in the Tinau River of Palpa district. 

The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Sohaib Ansari of Nautanwa Municipality, Maharajganj district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Palpa Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Malla said that Ansari had gone missing on Thursday around 4 PM while swimming in the Tinau River at the dam side in Tinau-3, Palpa. He was visiting Nepal along with his four other friends at the time of the incident.

Malla said that despite the police urging them not to go to the area, such incidents occur every day while swimming.
