Two ASIs promoted after successful ascent of Mount Everest

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 22:  Assistant Sub Inspector of the Nepal Police (ASI) Kunjang Chopel Sherpa and ASI of Armed Police Force (APF) Danta Bahadur Chhatyal, who successfully ascended Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, have been promoted.

The chiefs of both police organizations have promoted them to the rank of Sub Inspector of Police (SI).

Armed Police Force Nepal spokesperson Kalidas Dhaulji said that Assistant Sub Inspector of the Nepal Police (ASI) Kunjang Chopel Sherpa and ASI of Armed Police Force (APF) Danta Bahadur Chhatyal have been specially promoted to the rank of Sub Inspector of Police (SI).

According to Nepal Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Thapa, the police headquarters decided to promote Sherpa from ASI to Sub Inspector of Police (SI). Similarly, the APF has also decided to promote ASI Chhatyal to the rank of SI.
