Vehicle carrying members of Koshi Provincial Assembly in road mishap

 By Shashidhar Parajuli, Biratnagar, May 19: A vehicle carrying members of the Koshi Provincial Assembly has met with an accident in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality, Morang.

The accident occurred when a car (BAE 1406) carrying MPs from the constituency of Jhapa to attend a provincial assembly meeting was hit by a car (BA. 5 Pa. 3520).

The identified onboard passengers are Number Lal Dhimal, Radha Krishna Khanal, Maiya Shrestha, and Bidya Chamling. 

MP Maiya Shrestha said that the health condition of all onboard is normal, but they returned home without participating in the meeting. 

The vehicle driven by Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Jhapa, Khagendra Khadka, hit the car carrying MPs. 

 It is said that the accident occurred because Khadka fell asleep behind the wheel.
