Rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Madhesh

Kathmandu, May 17: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur today at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Madhesh, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces along with hilly region of rest of the Province. 

There is also possibility of light snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The weather today remains partly to generally cloudy in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Madhesh Province along with hilly region and partly cloudy to mainly fair in rest of the country.

The country is currently under the influence of westerly winds coupled with local winds. There is also partial impact of vapour-filled winds from the Bay of Bengal and Arab Sea, adds the Division. (RSS)
