Kathmandu, May 16: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and Indian Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, has held a meeting in the sideline of the Sagarmatha Sambaad today.
The two ministers discussed various dimensions of Nepal-India relations including mutual interests and exchange of cooperation. Minister Rana thanked Indian Minister Yadav for his participation in the first edition of the Sagarmatha Sambaad, the mountain dialogue.
She mentioned the signing of memorandum of understanding between Nepal and India on conservation of biodiversity and termed it significant for both countries.
The two ministers also discussed the bilateral meetings, formal meetings and other engagements between the two countries in recent time.
Moreover, the ministers from Nepal and India talked how the two countries could work together on minimizing the climate change impacts as it is a common agenda.
Indian Minister Yadav had arrived in Kathmandu to attend the event on Thursday.(RSS)
