CPN (Maoist Center)'s Mid-hill Highway Campaign begins

By Keshav Raj Bhatta, Baitadi, May 16: Mid-hill Highway Campaign of CPN (Maoist Center) has started from here today.

CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' inaugurated the 'Maoist with People: Mid-hill Highway (Pushpa Lal Road) Campaign for People's Awareness' by unveiling a memorial built at Patan Municipality of Baitadi.

Following the inauguration, Prachanda, the leader of the main opposition party in the parliament, addressed a mass assembly organized at the open ground in Patan.

"This campaign is to unite Terai, hills and mountains. It is to caution the government against corruption as the government is not working for people," he said.

He said that the Maoist Center was truly the political party of the poor and the oppressed people for it was fighting for their rights and that it needed to be strong to bring about changes in the country. He also highlighted on the development needs of the Far Western region of the country.
