By Nirajan Pariyar, Kailali, May 14: The Nagarik Unmukti Party has not yet finalized the names of a minister to be sent to the provincial government of Sudur Paschim province.
Although the responsibility of sending ministers to the ministries of industry, tourism, forests, and environment has been given to party chairperson Ranjita Shrestha and patron Resham Chaudhary, no agreement has been reached so far.
The responsibility was given by the parliamentary party meeting of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, Sudur Paschim province.
Earlier, Laxman Kishore Chaudhary from the party was handling the ministry. But Chaudhary resigned after the audio of the transaction on the issue of making forest-related procedures became public.
The meeting has urged Ranjita and Resham to finalize the names by today.
One leader of the party said that there was a problem because Resham Chaudhary wants a minister from his side, while Ranjita Shrestha wants a minister from her side. It is said that the selection has not been finalised because of vested interests.
Laxman Chaudhary resigned from his post on March 26. Since then, the party has been working hard to select ministers.
However, sources claim that selection has not been finalised because both sides refuse to budge on their respective positions.
