There is no room to find fault in policies and programmes: Minister Gurung

By Muna Hamal, Surkhet, May 13: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the government has brought practical policies and programmes.

Addressing the 25th silver jubilee celebration of Yug Aahwan, a national daily published from Surkhet, on Tuesday, Minister Gurung said that the program has been brought in a way that it gets completed within one year and by 2027.

He said that priority has been given to the programmes that have been studied instead of giving priority to the programmes that have been named after the Prime Minister and the President. 

He said that people doing good work are being brought down, and it is especially done through social media; therefore, a bill to regulate social media has been brought to stop this, and it will be passed by the parliament. 

Mentioning there anarchism is being increased in the name of press freedom in Nepal, he said that the current government is working to control it

Stating that cybercrime has increased due to online activities, Minister Gurung said that no one is exempted for spreading confusion in society in the name of using social media and freedom of expression, and that nothing is greater than the constitution, and that everyone needs to obey the laws of the country.
