Man missing for thirteen days found dead in Taplejung

By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, May 13: A man who was missing for thirteen days has been found dead in Taplejung.

Manoj Thopra Limbu, aged 34, of Dhungesaghu Gairigaun, Maiwakhola  Rural Municipality-1, Taplejung, was found dead after going missing for thirteen days. 

According to the ward chair of Maiwakhola  Rural Municipality-1-1, Chandra Kumar Tamang, Thopra's body was found on Monday near the banks of the Maiwakhola River, which flows along the border of Maiwakhola Rural Municipality and Meringden Rural Municipality.

Thopra had been missing since April 30. Relatives have been searching for Thopra since his disappearance.

 Ward chair Tamang said that he was found dead 13 days later.

The body of Thopra has been taken to the District Hospital in Taplejung for a postmortem on Monday evening.

 Police said that the body will be handed over to the relatives after a postmortem. 

District Police Office said the investigation into the matter is underway.
