By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 12: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has vowed to intensify the campaign for socialism.
Addressing the first conference of the Young Communist League (YCL),
Karnali Province Committee, today, the former Prime Minister said that the
Maoist Center party was on a socialism campaign and that it will intensify the
campaign.
Referring to the historically important political events of the 12-point agreement between the Maoist and the seven party alliance, the People's Movement with the support of People's War and the Constituent Assembly (CA), he said that republican system was achieved following a hard struggle of the people, according to Prachanda's secretariat.
Now the need is to make this republican system truly for people, and there may be a need to initiate another round of struggle for this, he said.
The leader of the main opposition party in the parliament said that the
people can be empowered if the Maoist Center becomes strong. "We are reaching
to all 77 districts and the socialist movement will move forward more
forcefully. We won't give up the road to socialism," he said.
On the occasion, Chair Prachanda
accused the government for trying to discriminate and disrespect the people of
Karnali by removing the Prosperous Karnali Programme that was initiated by the
previous government led by himself.
